What do we do?

NEAR
NEAR is a research lab for faculity, staff, and students to conduct research based at the Daytona Beach campus of the most recognized educational institution for aviation, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Committed to maintaining its high quality consulting services, NEAR carries out research in fields such as: cost-benefit analysis, data warehouse, fast-time simulation, real-time distributed simulation, probabilistic weather forecasting, metrics and methodologies, and human factors modeling and analysis.

NEAR customers are from areas of aviation such as: air traffic management (ATM), the avionics industry, aircraft manufacturers, communications providers, commercial airlines, and governmental agencies such as NASA the FAA and Volpe Center.

Florida NextGen Test Bed
The Florida NextGen Test Bed is set up at Daytona Beach International Airport and is being funded through the Federal Aviation Administration. The Test Bed will provide the facilities for potential vendors of NextGen applications wishing to test their products. Click here to view the press release.
